This course will sharpen students thinking skills, speaking and debate skills, and will give students an insight into the U.S. legal system. Well be using realistic and engaging case material prepared by the Classroom Law Project to prepare for and stage a trial during the first four days of camp. My son started as a 6 year old and now he's going to be a 15 year old Leader in Training. For him, the freedom to be active in a beautiful country environment, play games, and swim was important (and he learned a lot about nature along the way). ECEA Youth Camping Trip - Killeen, TX
The youth have voted for their year-end field trip to be at Parrie Haynes Ranch for some camping and trail riding! If you are a current ECEA youth member, your campsite and day fees are paid for by youth club money raised at our youth fundraiser show. Please let me know if you are planning to attend, if you need RV hookups, how many horses you are bringing and how many people you are bringing so that I can make reservations next week. We will have orgainized group dinners and group breakfast. Bring your own drinks, lunches and snacks. It's going to be a blast!

The Torrance-South Bay Y and Unearthed Travel are hosting a life-changing journey to Costa Rica for teens ages 14-17 next summer, July 2017! Students will travel as a team and will participate in: hands-on community or conservation project, challenging and breathtaking trek through the rainforest or up the tops of volcanoes, and exploration of the amazing sites and action packed activities of Costa Rica. Teen Winter Camp features team-building challenges, discussions regarding diabetes and life as a teenager, snow sledding, snacks, good company, snow fights, games, and a variety of opportunities for personal growth. Siblings and friends WITHOUT diabetes may also attend.

CrossFit HighGear offers two JumpStart camps to choose from! KIDS CAMP runs from June 6 - 10 while TEEN CAMP runs from June 13 - 17 both from 10 am - noon. Registration includes a t-shirt and daily snack! Campers will participate in a strength and conditioning program that combines gymnastics, body-weight calisthenics and weightlifting elements. Participants learn to move their bodies and move them well, making them fitter and more resilient day to day. We focus on quality of movement before we push intensity. Regardless of age, ability or experience, campers benefit physically as their bodies adapt and become stronger, faster and more flexible. A fun and dynamic camp for ages 7-11 led by PGA of America Professionals and Junior Golf Specialists. Participants learn full-swing to short game skills and will be able to play on the course daily in the evening* On the last day of camp, we play a 9-hole tournament with a pizza party following play. Camp Apollo - Rock Terrace School
Elementary school youth within the autism spectrum. Activities for campers include coloring and painting, musical games, playground fun, swimming twice a week and local field trips. Quiet time, low lighting and sensory activities will be used as a transition from ESY to camp. Depending on skill levels, campers will be divided into two groups during some activities. To be successful, must be able to follow one/two step directions, ability to manage their behavior and be able to make simple choices. Campers must exhibit ability for self care with limited assistance with changing or prompting using bathroom. Staff ratio: 1 staff/4 participants. TRANSPORTATION : If attending ESY, contact your teens school to arrange transportation to camp.
