The weekend is dedicated to creating a relationship with God, making new friends, and worshipping. We’ll learn about what it means to have God’s love in our lives, and truly how to forgive. Be A Civil War Soldier: KID’S CAMP - Mansfield, LA
Have you ever wanted to be a Civil War soldier? Are you between 9-12 years old? On Saturday 24th, in connection with National Public Lands Day, Mansfield State Historic Site is hosting an “immersive” event that will allow you to experience what many of the soldiers of the American Civil War did. Be enlisted, set up your camp, drill, enjoy a period type lunch, and more! There are 15 slots available for this program and pre-registration is required. Registration is $25 (paid on day of program) for each child, which includes the meal. The last day for Pre-Registration is September 17th. CAMP DETAILS Moving Stories: Featuring the Works of Roald Dahl Inspired by the great works of Roald Dahl this full day camp will explore some of our favorite books, such as, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Fantastic Mr Fox. Sing songs, play games, make puppets, create backdrops, write poems and act out your favorite scenes from these incredible stories in this fun filled, magical, literary adventure.
