Camp curriculum is designed for new players with basic lacrosse skills that seek to improve technique and develop their LAX IQ. Participation in one or both of the Winter Holiday Clinics is highly recommended, but not required. Kids will be instructed by veteran US Lacrosse Coach Tom Welsh, a certified level III instructor. Equipment will be available on a first come first serve basis. Please wear sneakers only and bring a water bottle and a light snack. This is an introductory course of popular Latin dances. It is appropriate for all levels of dance experience. Classical Ballet is incorporated into the curriculum to ensure proper technique is applied in all dance styles. The dancers will be split into two groups. Children ages 5-8 will attend camp from 9:00am-12:00pm. Children ages 9-12 will attend camp from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

OPAL's multi-racial youth program, Youth Environmental Justice Alliance, is organizing a community event to raise awareness about a campaign to sustain and expand the YouthPass program in Portland. Our goal for the campaign is to show the city, TriMet, our schools, and our community that affordable public transportation is important for youth to lead healthy lives, be able to thrive, and be successful. The youth-led event will officially launch our campaign and engage with community members and decision makers, especially in East Portland neighborhoods. There will be educational booths about transit justice, powerful youth testimonies, and cool performances! YouthPass to the Future Campaign: We want all high school students in Portland to be able to go to school and access opportunities that prepare them for success. Transit is an educational right! 5th annual CAJUN Crawfish Festival - Virginia Beach, VA
Here we are friends. We are at it again. Mark your calendar for our 5th annual YSC CAJUN CRAWFISH FESTIVAL on October, 22nd from 12-5 PM at Camp Pendleton. Buckshot will be entertaining you throughout the day while you enjoy our crawfish boil, chili, gumbo, chopped BBQ and plenty of craft beer and wine. Come check out our "Cornhole Corner" and play your way through the day. Pick up tournament with prizes throughout the day.100% of our proceeds benefit underprivileged children in Virginia Beach. After Camp Care for KidSport the week of 8/1 - 8/5 Parents/guardians come into school to sign out and pick up camper. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! The Harding Team Skills Volleyball Camp for 6th to 8th graders builds on the skills acquired during the June Individual Skills Camp (serving, passing, setting, attacking). Fast-paced team drills and games focused on enhancing court awareness, better understanding of game flow, anticipation, readiness, transitioning between offense and defense. Middle School girls continue developing team synergy, as well as achieving an advanced level of proficiency, utilizing three hitters, serving aggressively to get more aces, and converting serve-receive into a kill. Camp serves as a good jump-start in preparing for the Harding volleyball season (August-September). Daily team recognition. Camp ends with a tournament, which is always a blast. Join us for some serious, but always fun, volleyball. This program is geared towards students who are beginners or have limited knowledge in Java programming. An intro course that is a great start for older and younger students to begin programming. Students will begin to look at Java programming and creating their own games. These games can be an original idea or a re-imagining of a classic. This course will lay the foundation for all parts of computer programming that a student will encounter later in their education.
