You dont have to be an athlete to join in this camp taught by Mulberrys Miles Lewis. Activities will be centered around fun and cooperative team sports as well as individual activities. In the spirit of the Olympics, well have plenty of team-building and sportsmanship opportunities. Activities will be driven by the campers. On any given day, campers may play soccer, frisbee golf, basketball, do gymnastics, martial arts, or participate in track and field events. Well start the week with Opening Ceremonies as the campers run through the campus and pass the torch to each "country," and well close with a Flag Ceremony. Throughout the week, campers will decide on the medals to be given and help to create them with all of the USA themed crafts well have available. Campers will also create flags (maybe they will choose a favorite country or create their own) for the closing ceremony. This camps focus is not on competition so much as an opportunity for children to try a new sport and have fun sharing their spirit and love of the games. 4083589080.0

Robotics Vehicles - College Prep Middle
Robotics Vehicles – (6th - 8th Grade) Students will build Vehicles using Mindstorms robotics equipment. Students will advance on their programming skills and manipulate the Vehicles with coding on a laptop. There is a limit to 16 children for the class. The curriculum for the Robotics Club is different for each quarter, allowing for new material to be added per quarter. But the different curriculum also allows for new students to join in without having had previous Robotics experience. Students do not need to bring anything to the Club. The Flagler College Cheerleading Team is hosting their fifth camp for area elementary school children (grades K-5) interested in learning more about cheerleading and dance. When and where is the camp? Saturday, April 2nd, 2016; 8:00am - 5:00pm* Flagler College Gymnasium 12 Granada St. St. Augustine, Florida 32084 *Campers will put on a performance of their skills from 4:00 – 5:00pm. Did you know that your favorite sweet treats are the product of an interesting array of chemical reactions? Tie on your apron! Its time to bake some sweet treats as we have fun learning about the science of baking and kitchen safety. Participants in this session will learn the science behind baking the perfect cookie as well as the proper way to measure and mix ingredients, kitchen safety, baking techniques, and how to overcome baking challenges as we make a different type of cookie each day (including at least one gluten free option). Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments.
