Parents often feel child-sick when youth leave for camp. Most youth development professionals warn against calling too much because it can make the kid homesick. Camp directors often suggest that families write children letters. Waiting a week before calling to check in can also relieve the parent and the child’s anxiety. LUCKY WHITEHEADS 1st ANNUAL YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP CHARITY EVENT - Manass
SUNDAY MAY 15th at Osbourn High School football fields in Manassas 9:00-12:00 kids ages 4-15 Football agility drills,blocking,tackling techniques,running,kicking,speed and agility and much more !! $25 per child on site registration first come first served. IN CASE OF STEADY RAIN CAMP WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE. RULES: * $25 per child CASH ONLY no checks or credit cards *Parents will not be allowed on the fields but may watch from outside the fence. This is to insure crowd control and make sure the children can focus on the coaches. *No Refunds *All waivers must be completed and turned in before your child is allowed to enter the practice field. PARKING available at METZ or near the OHS practice field back entrance. * No abusive language towards volunteers coaches or staff. If this becomes a problem you will be asked to leave immediately. Sea Perch Robotics - Middle School
This exciting new offering will coordinate with the Webb Institute. Located in Glen Cove, the Webb Institute is a private engineering college, offering a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Participants in the Sea Perch Program will build an underwater robot. The completed the robots will then be brought to Webb Institute for a day of in-water testing and head-to-head competitions that determine how well the robots were constructed and how well the human operators can control their custom-built submersible seacraft. Boys Missions Camp - Camper - Judson Baptist Retreat Center
A perfect opportunity for boys completing 1-6th grades to have a great time, learn Gods Word, and be impacted by Godly men. The boys will be taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spend their days swimming, doing archery, shooting BB guns, horseback riding and lots of recreation! Summer Camp @ La Pintoresca Group C (11-12) - City of Pasadena
This is a 6 week camp that will run from June 27-August 5 from 8-6 pm. (Excluding 4th of July) This traditional camp is high-quality, fun and affordable. Activities include arts and crafts, physical fitness games and challenges, dance, visits to the onsite library at La Pintoresca Park and swimming. Campers play basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball. Instruction is also offered in golf and tennis. Campers are escorted to Robinson Park Recreation Centers swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Staff go into the water with the campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Trips are an additional charge and are scheduled for once a week. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like sports and group activities. The ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Campers are grouped by age, and lunch and a snack are provided. Camp culminates in the annual War Games in which Washington Park Camp and La Pintoresca Park Camps compete in a series of challenges to determine an annual camp champion. Adventurers are assigned to a small group of 10 to 16 campers and spend the week with counselors known for boundless energy and creative imaginations. Over the course of the week Adventurers can expect to canoe, swim, take a hayride, explore nature, make table top pottery, make nature crafts, hike to the fire tower, play games and have an all-round good time.
