What I like about this camp is my kids can choose between a day camp (for ages 5-12), an overnight camp (for ages 9-13) or a specialty camp (ages 11-17). “This is where I come every year to reflect, re-vision and rejuvenate. It’s my new year!”–Spirit Quest Teen Camper Spirit Quest for Teens is for 13-17-year-olds, who are moving into young adulthood and who need a safe, nurturing place to reflect on where they have been, where they are going and who they are becoming. Camping together, teens develop deep connections to their selves, their peers, their elders and Nature through --council circles, --team-building games, --nature-awareness activities and hikes, --poetry and art --movement and improv --drumming and journeying --sharing in meal preparation --solo time in nature --fire ceremonies and sweat lodges --mediation and yoga Life-long friendships are formed or deepened; issues of self-esteem and soul work are explored with a true honoring of each teen’s unique path. Teens are invited to camp for the whole week, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending Saturday at noon to allow for more time together. July 18-21, Pioneer Camp, 9:30am-noon, $60 Have you ever wondered how the Pioneers lived long ago? This camp will allow you to experience many of the daily experiences of that time period bringing history to life. Print on a printing press, weave on a loom, learn how a blacksmith creates metal objects, dip candles and play with old-fashioned toys. Explore the items in “Grandmother’s Trunk” and learn how they were used, and cook on the hearth in Har-Ber Village’s Living History Cabin.

Paint Animal Portraits - Coyote Central
Put them together: art and animals! Dogs, cats, wild ones, tame ones, pets & best buddies – theyll be the stars of the week. You will build up your techniques defining proportion, sketching, inking, water coloring, and painting before you top off the week with the grand finale – a painting in acrylics of your favorite pet.
