This course will sharpen students thinking skills, speaking and debate skills, and will give students an insight into the U.S. legal system. Well be using realistic and engaging case material prepared by the Classroom Law Project to prepare for and stage a trial during the first four days of camp. What Items Are Important to Bring to Summer Camp?
As always, the mission of the camp dictates what campers should bring. However, no matter the focus of the program, there are some universal essentials to bring. Packing is hard. Having a general packing list makes it easier for parents and children to handle this process.
First, one should always bring bedding, a pillow, and any comfort items like a stuffed animal. Additionally, youth should bring three types of shoes: flip flops for the shower and beach, sneakers for running around, and boots if there is hiking. During spring break, kids classes will be held monday-friday9-1015 am. Class is $6/kid or $20/child for the week. Adult(s) are welcome to attend, but it is not required. Don't forget that there is a 9am adults class in the other room!
Kids Winter Boxing Camp #1 - Edmond, OK
Do the kids need a place to burn some energy and learn useful physical skills over the holiday break? In our Boxing camps your children will learn fundamental boxing and self-defense techniques in a safe and supportive environment. No experience necessary. You can bring your own gloves or we have gloves for sale. To accomodate your holiday plans we are offering 3 separate camps. Each camp will be Monday through Wednesday from noon to 2pm and is only $40 for the week. What is it like to break the rules...on purpose?! Hip hop has a reputation for rule breaking in dance throughout its history. After all, hip hop was originally used as a peaceful way of creating change in a violent time through inter-city territory wars. In this class, students will learn about the history of hip hop, and how early hip hop created a movement in society towards positive change as we create our own dance of positive change! (2016 SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day. Technovators: Remote Control Projects and Game Design - Kentlake High School
Get a double helping of technology. First, build remote-control, motor-driven animals and vehicles using LEGO® components. Then, create their own computer game using Stencyl® software, one of the newest and best ways to create games for a computer or mobile device. In the morning, create "Nessie," the Loch-Ness creature, beautifully detailed versions of the the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing Fighter from Star Wars®, a funny-walking spider, and a twin-motor vehicle that you can quickly transform into a turtle! Students learn about motors, gears, hinges, wheels and axles, and more! With their remotes, students race and send their creations on missions. In the afternoon, make a platform style game where characters explore levels, gain prizes and avoid enemies. Students learn level design and how to add events and actions, scoring and displays, physics, and sounds in the gameplay. See your game come to life, while learning skills that can help start your development as a game designer!
