A-Cooks with Books - Lafayette ES
This is an exciting and unique literature-based arts program designed to make books come alive, sizzle, and pop! Students will bubble with excitement as they explore books through cooking and arts and crafts. The plot, themes and characters from the story will be used to inspire students to create a tasty snack, or a unique craft or even a dramatization of the book. The stories come from all over the world and are carefully chosen for each age group. Cook With Books introduces students to some nifty recipes, creative crafts, and exciting work in drama. The class is designed to increase the students love of books, and is loads of fun – a perfect combination for a great after-school program. We tip our hats to the old Aquatics Week that some old timers remember. But retro is not what we are going for. This week all of our campers will have a chance to sail, canoe, kayak, and PADDLEBOARD. Join us as we discover with you the joys yet another self-propelled water sport. Paddleboard the outlet stream, sail a great Adirondack Lake, kayak a great river, and learn from the sport that started it all: canoeing! We will be on the water all week, so be prepared to start right away on Sunday. 518-631-6789

Equestrian Camps - Horseback Riding - Camp Olympia
Children will ride twice a day 4 times per week, swim every day, and do various unmounted horse activities including leading horses, unsaddling, grooming, bathing, cleaning tack, plus general barn responsibilities. There is no riding on Thursdays (horses much deserved day off- try running around in 90+ degree weather with a fur coat on), but the kids will have unmounted horse activities such as those listed above and have the opportunity to play Camp Game, traditional favorite. Long pants, smooth, hard soled shoes, bathing suit, towel, and lunch are needed every day. All camp forms must be completed and received by Camp Olympia before camper can attend this program.
