Clover Kids will do some fun projects from the “A Space for Me” 4-H Project! July 5, 2016 9:30 - 11:30 OR 1:30-3:30 pm Learn how to make your space your very own! When it’s your OWN special space, you are more likely to pick things up and put them away. Clover Kids will make some fun projects for their room to help them organize their own special “stuff” and learn about how to use color creatively! You will need to bring an empty and clean plastic coffee can for one of our activities. Everything else will be provided! Cost is $15 per Clover Kid!

1st Session - Crochet / Knitting/ Paper Folding - YSCP
Instructor: Ms. Anamaria Here is the summary for the club. Below it is the summary for me: Crochet/Knitting and Paper folding In this club we focus on learning basic crochet or knitting techniques. This includes learning how to read charts. Students choose between knitting or crochet to start. They have option of learning the other later. Squares are the main building blocks for all of the projects. Projects will be up to the students to choose. They range from a scarf, book cover to a basic shirt. There will also be small non-square projects like mustaches, flowers and balls. Focusing on squares gives participants a quick project that can easily be completed during club time after the first few sessions. It also allows for lots of color without having to change or join yarn. Small projects like these can easily be done anywhere. The possibilities are endless for completed projects. A completed scarf can easily become a blanket later on if they want with the simple addition of more squares. May 2-24 -- 2 practices per week Mondays: 6:00 to 7:30 @ Bishop Kelly High School Tuesdays: 6:00 to 7:30 @ Boise Valley Adventist School Scrimmages: Tuesdays, May 10, 17, & 24 7:30 to 8:30 @ Boise Valley Adventist School -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ignition program is designed specifically for experienced basketball players in 2nd through 7th grades who are serious about putting in the hard work necessary to take their basketball game to the next level. This training program equips athletes with the fundamental skills they need to be ready for the competitive performance basketball arena. Focus is placed heavily on ball handling, personal offensive moves, shooting, defense, and conditioning. Athletes will also participate in Ignition scrimmages to put their skills to the test and highlight their improvement. A big part of competitive basketball preparation is developing the character qualities necessary to handle pressure and persevere. Our coaches are committed to growing each athletes character along with their athletic ability. 4 - Spring Break Fine Arts Camp - Midland Community Theatre
Do you know WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE this Spring Break? At MCT, of course! Join us for a week long camp as each grade level works on a performance piece inspired by Maurice Sendaks Where the Wild Things Are or one of his other works, like Little Bear, Chicken Soup with Rice, or Higglety Pigglety Pop. Students will study drama, art, puppetry, dance and music throughout the week in addition to creating a performance piece for presentation to family and friends on the last day of classes. 432 682 2544 x105

Week 2: Design/Build for Social Impact - REALM Charter High School
Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm Pick-up begins: 8:45am Drop-off ends: 4:15pm Girls will design and build furniture projects for the Womens Daytime Drop-In Center, a local safe haven which offers free services to homeless women and their children. Along the way, girls will learn skills in woodworking, welding, fabrication, and masonry to design a meaningful project for their community, to work in multiple materials, and bring ideas to life. Please note: Week 1 and 2 will offer the same content. Please enroll in only one. Snacks will be provided. Full lunch option is available at an additional $25 cost. Enrollment is limited to 20 girls.
