This 3 night mini-session is a great introduction to Camp Kirby! Adventurers are entering 4th & 5th grades, and live in main camp cabin groups. Adventurers focus on fun in a lively environment. They camp out overnight in the Kirby woods, learn to canoe, try their hand at archery, and participate in sports, games, and arts and crafts. At the Adventurer level, campers will also help plan their own busy week. Staff ratio is 1:8 campers. 3607335710.0

The second informational meeting will be on Sunday, January 31st. If you are applying to be a full time counselor for the first time, you are required to attend at least one of the meetings. This intensive 2-week course is for teens aged 12 to 18 who are working professionally. This conservatory offers a rigorous, pre-college curriculum of movement, voice, improv, and scene study. Industry professionals, including award-winning casting director Donna Morong ("PRINCESS DIARIES", "10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU", "CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE DRAMA QUEEN"), writer/actor Sarah McCarron (HBOS "LUCK", "NEIGHBOR"), and writer/director John Hindman ("THE ANSWER MAN") teach the course. Famous Characters & Scene Study - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This class is designed for 3rd-5th grade students. The fun continues! For interested students with some acting experience. Well explore changing our voices and bodies to represent different characters from favorite and familiar stories like the Harry Potter series, The Wizard of Oz, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Secret Garden...perhaps well travel to Narnia. Students will get to stretch their wings a bit each week doing dramatic readings. Well include some fun theatre games and improv activities too! At the final class parents will be invited to a staged presentation. INSTRUCTOR ROBERTA MASTER-CULLEN has been teaching childrens classes and camps at the Little Theatre for seven years. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild specializing in radio and television voiceovers, and has been a television news anchor and reporter. Camp provides both first-time and experienced students with a basic understanding of sailing in a recreational, fun environment using the LMSS 420 sailboats, which are perfect for 2-3 sailors. Students will learn the basics of sailing; upwind, downwind, and sailing between two points, along with sail trim, knot tying and terminology.
