Coding is the new literacy - so give your child a leg up by helping him or her become a media maker. This course teaches the building blocks of coding through MITs Scratch Jr. video game design platform. Young children will create all sorts of neat animations (including a dance party and a farm animal race) while learning sequencing skills that make characters move, jump, dance, and talk. With all Level Up Village courses, 30% of the profit goes to sponsor a Global Partner classroom of students in a developing country who will be matched up with kids at Portledge. Together, using the same curriculum and technology, young video game designers from around the world will work collaboratively by exchanging personal video messages and by participating in a digital show & share of their shared creative work. Rogue Robots: LEGO Robotics Camp - San Angelo, TX
Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. Send a Deweyville Pre-Teen to camp - Odessa, TX
Butch's Sunday School Class is collecting spare change to send a pre-teen from First Baptist Church of Deweyville, TX (a suburb of Houston) that was devestated by the flooding last week to Highland Lakes Camp this summer. Normally the church raises funds by having fundraisers but as you can see...they will have to devote all their time to restoring the church. Chapel Hill's youth have attended this camp several times in the past with great spiritual success.

Boot Camp Fitness Class to Support New York Road Runners' (NYRR) Youth
Join us on Sunday, July 10th for a special one-hour Boot Camp Fitness Class to support New York Road Runners' (NYRR) Youth Programs, which serve over 200,000 students annually with free running and fitness experiences. During this special Boot Camp Fitness Class hosted by Michelle Stiglitz, you will sweat your way through a series of various exercise all to support a good cause. The class will be held outdoors in Clove Lakes park. We will meet promptly at 9:00am on the Martling Avenue Bridge (near the Staten Island Zoo parking lot) Please bring a mat or towel and a bottle of water. *All fitness levels are welcome to participate! Science Olympiad Camp Full Day (Grades 6-9) - Community Middle School
Science Olympiad Camp (Grades 6-9) Full Day The Science Olympiad Summer Camp is an excellent opportunity for students to experience what it is like to compete in a Science Olympiad Tournament. Students choosing the ½ day option will participate in 2 Science Olympiad events, while those choosing the full day option will participate in 4 events. The camp events are the same as those used in the State and National Science Olympiad Competitions. At the end of the 2 week camp, campers will participate in our camp competition which will be modeled after actual Science Olympiad competitions. Instructors are current members of the High School North Science Olympiad Team and former members of the Community Middle School Science Olympiad Team that has won 13 consecutive State Science Olympiad Championships and 2 National Science Olympiad Championships.
