Old Davie School - Session 2 Only (July 18, 2016-August 12, 2016) Advanced levels of study in voice and diction, character analysis, scene study, dialects, styles and methods. Show: Pippin Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield and the intrigues of political power. In the end, though, he finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the un-extraordinary moments that happen every day. Performance: Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. This camp is designed for campers who are: Ages 13 to 18 who are at a moderate level of experience. This camp is offered at Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Old Davie School only. Requirements: *Campers must be between 13 and 18 years of age (13 year-olds must be entering at least 8th grade in the fall). *Campers must fully participate in a 7 hour day, 4 week program. *Campers will have the opportunity to earn community service hours for assisting with younger campers. Our kids have been going to the local Boys and Girls club for the past year but this was the first time they ventured out for summer camp. I'm so glad they did. They got to try out so many new things. One of the big hits was the work in the garden. Now they want to turn out backyard into a vegetable patch. Junior Golf Camp Ages 7-10 June 13th - Fox Creek Golf Club
An introduction to the game of golf with emphasis placed on fundamentals of grip, posture, and alignment. Introduction to the rules and etiquette of the game will be explained. Students will learn the difference between iron shots and tee shots, in addition to chipping and putting. Fun competitions will be held with in the class in each aspect of the the game.
