Pirate Circus Kid Camp - 1200 Shakespeare, Ste. C
June 15-19, 9:00am-4:00pm, $200/kiddo Hosted by Missoula Fencing Association and Moksha Studio. For kids ages 7-10 years old who wanna be a Pirate AND join the Circus. Monday - Friday 9am-12:30pm: PIRATE (hosted by Missoula Fencing Association) Monday - Friday 12:30pm- 4:00pm: CIRCUS (hosted by Moksha Aerial Studio) PIRATE: Come express your inner pirate! We get our youngest fencers started learning fencing basics with lots of fun and games in this week long camp. Time will also be spent in activities that increase fitness, coordination and strategy development. All protective equipment is provided and we finish out the week with some stage combat. CIRCUS: Kids will have a blast learning skills. Returning to Teen Camp - undefined, CA
In the summer of 2014, I did something I never really thought I was called to do: work with TEENS. Being 21 at the time, I still considered myself one. Me? Being paired up with a 14-year old girl? Confronting normal teen issues paired with the difficulty that comes hand in hand while being in the foster system? Definitely a challenge. Not just zip-ling fun and games. (Also, I came home with crutches that year. FROM TRIPPING IN THE CAFETERIA. Hangry?) However, seeing how camp is something these kids/teens look forward to every year and how a weekend in the woods reminds them they are loved and adored is invaluable. Being with older and wiser counselors also inspired me because seeing the way they love unconditionally inspires me to not be selfish with my time and personal ambitions. These kids, this camp. It means something. A safe place with the ability to change lives long term. I'm proud to say that I'm returning to Teen Camp this year and it would be amazing to share the stories from last time with you (when I get a blog post up.) Minecraft Design - Game Design 6/20-6/24 - Recreation-D.P.S.
Minecraft is more than just a popular game for kids. At AccelerateKID, we use it to teach information technology, entrepreneurship and computer programming. In Minecraft Camps, kids will learn about the Minecraft PC edition how all the commands work, the different modes & Worlds, and apply STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) to the projects. The goal is to apply creativity and technology to build world landmarks, cities and amusement parks to present on the last day. Each camper will leave camp with an AccelerateKID T-shirt. Careers in Architecture (16412F) - Cary Academy
Imagine the great cities of the world and their monumental and powerful architecture. We will create our own architectural firm for the chance to build things in 3D: a hockey rink, football stadium, golf course, art gallery, a museum, a roller coaster theme park, an aquarium, or even the great Roman Coliseum! As future architects, learn about perspective drawing and go outdoors to draw the architecture of Cary Academy.
