My child gets homesick easily. Is camp not right for him / her?
Everyone gets homesick from time to time, but if your child seems especially shy, anxious, or clingy, you may fear that he or she isn't ready for an overnight trip. However, camp gives many kids their first taste of independence in a safe and supervised environment, which teaches them that living away from Mom and Dad isn't as scary as it seems.
Camp counselors are highly trained in dealing with homesickness, and they know how to comfort, encourage, and distract campers with fun games. By the end of the week, you may find that your nervous child doesn't want to leave!

Cost: FREE WHO CAN ATTEND: Spotsylvania residents ages 6 to 18 years of age. WHERE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD: Each participating child must register at www.yourNFLexperience.com Registration will start promptly at 8AM each day at the entrance of the football stadium with the camp starting at 9AM. 420 Race Team M-F ($670 for 4 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
Please select a minimum of four weeks. The 420 Race Team is the most advanced program for junior sailors. Sailors are taught the fundamentals of sailboat racing, including but not limited to boat speed, boat handling, strategy and tactics, and team racing. Training as a team is strongly stressed. The team is reserved for those sailors who want to really improve their racing skills, and are selected by the race team coaches.
