This program is geared towards students who are beginners or have limited knowledge in Java programming. An intro course that is a great start for older and younger students to begin programming. Students will begin to look at Java programming and creating their own games. These games can be an original idea or a re-imagining of a classic. This course will lay the foundation for all parts of computer programming that a student will encounter later in their education. I went to Big Lake Youth Camp when I was younger and I always remembered it being the best part of my summer vacation. Now I send my son and he says the same thing. The counselors are super friendly and always helpful to my son. He has made so many new friendships that he’ll keep for many years. Final Summer 2016 Kid's Riding Camp - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our last riding camp of the summer for children ages 3 - 18. Camps are half days, and kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen and enclosed outdoor arena. Kid's are outside getting exercise in the sunshine and fresh air, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence. What could be better? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, horseman and natural horsemanship clinician with 35+years experience as a professional horse and people trainer, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equpment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Siblings may share helmets as needed. Camp is half-days, 9 AM - Noon. Cost is $150 for the three day camp; current EquQuest horsemanship program students are FREE! Call Pat Gleason at 512-965-1380 to register and click "Going" here. Morning: Levers, Trebuchets & Catapults What happens when you combine levers and robotics? Medieval machines, catapults, trebuchets, draw bridges, hammers, clock and walking robots! Do you know the difference between a trebuchet and a catapult? Can you make a robotic clock? Here is your opportunity to learn about the different types of levers while building Lego robots. In Levers, Trebuchets & Catapults you will nail the competition while time and the ping pong balls of warfare fly as you break down enemy walls and minions. A little modern technology and Lego can defy the impossible. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Mandells Explorer Bridge Camp is a summer program designed to help newly enrolled 2s transition to their upcoming grade in the fall. Participating children will have the opportunity to meet classmates and teachers, and become familiar with the routines and expectations of their new class. Bridge Camp is offered from June 6 - July 1. For questions related to camp, please contact the Upper West Side Pre School Director, Myrna Stuart at NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required upon registration in order to guarantee a spot in Junior Explorer Camp. The entire deposit will be applied to the total amount due; the balance of the tuition is due on or before June 14, 2016. Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor organized games, free play, and reading time. Bring a snack and a water bottle—and wear sunscreen, a hat, and athletic shoes.
