Limerick Fire Company's 4th Annual YOUTH FIREFIGHTER CAMP June 19-23, 2017; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 6-13 years of age Why try this Camp? You will: ►Learn fire safety you thought you knew & then apply what you’ve learned ►Learn about the fire house, trucks (apparatus), and personnel ►Hands-on with various equipment ►Ladders-learn the how-to’s ►Hoses-proper techniques to connect to the hydrant, flow water, roll up, etc. ►Extinguishers-the ABC’s ►Rescue tools during simulated live demonstrations ►Fire gear-bunker pants, jacket, helmet, safety gloves & glasses all provided ►Watch & participate in several live demonstrations with the firefighters ►And so much more…. Story telling was never this much fun! Utilizing the LEGO® StoryStarter set we will introduce students to the basic structures of a well-composed story (making this class a great language arts tool). At the same time we will also introduce them to the world of technology as we show them how to animate their stories in their very own graphic storybook. They will build their LEGO® story scenes and (using photo capture and editing tools) bring the story to life in print. We will create multiple storybooks in this class and each student will receive a DVD containing printable versions of all their creations to take home. In StoryStarter II we will have the same great fun but with all new story types and plots!
