Welcome to the 2016 Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office Youth NFL Football Camp. Sheriff Roger L. Harris, 2X Super Bowl Champion Gary Clark formerly of the Washington Redskins and Tessa Wilborne and Jamie Brown of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices would like to invite your child to an NFL experience of a LIFETIME !! Cost: FREE WHO CAN ATTEND: Spotsylvania residents ages 6 to 18 years of age. WHERE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD: Each participating child must register at www.yourNFLexperience.com Registration will start promptly at 8AM each day at the entrance of the football stadium with the camp starting at 9AM. Your child must be picked up by 1PM at the same location. WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD NEED TO BRING: All participants are required to wear either rubber based cleats or tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Water will be provided and replenished all day. Free Summer Horse Day Camp for Kids, Week 8 of 9 - Lacomb, OR
This is not your typical day camp! Kids learn how to get big jobs done and earn big rewards through our framework of barn, garden, and community activities. Our mixture of work, learning, and play develops character, leadership, and real-world skills. Kids start the morning cleaning stalls and doing other jobs, then have a well-supervised fellowship lunch, then ride or do other horse activities in the afternoon. For the kids that are interested in doing other things doing the horsemanship time, we have interesting building or maintenance projects as well as gardening. Sometimes we have someone come share an aspect of their career, or we will go on a field trip to a business, and sometimes we need to go pick up hay or other donations as part of the camp day. Toward the end of the day as parents arrive, we usually do a short devotion that gives kids the chance to tell how they illustrated a positive characteristic that day. Parents and kids should attend a 90-minute tour and orientation prior to enrolling, you just call us and schedule a time. Back by popular demand with all new projects that take mess making to a whole new level! Well paint with plaster, sculpt with gooey gunk, make papier mâché birds and fling paint like American painter Jackson Pollock. We will even learn some art terms along the way. These are not projects to tackle at home — leave the mess with us. After all, being a kid is messy business! Celebrating 57 years of creating lifelong friends, long lasting memories, and a deep respect and love for nature, Foothills Fun Camp is back for another incredible summer in the great outdoors.
