Ages: 5-12 (Campers must be age 5 by the beginning of the week of camp they are registering) Location : AMLD Community Center at 11500 El Salido Pkwy, Austin, TX 78750 (All activities are on-site, AMLD CC, El Salido Park & Pool) Days & Times: Monday- Friday 7:30am-6:00pm (Earliest drop off is 7:30am, Latest pick up is 6:00pm) Registration Fees: AMLD Resident: $175 Non-Resident: $190 Full payment is due at time of registration unless a payment plan has been set up. Please register at sebringcamp.org/retreat Spring Retreat is a short break from the world to see some camp friends and be a part of what's coming in the summer. Youth Curator Camp Virginia Museum of Natural History Saturday, December 19 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Youth Curator Camp is an opportunity for children ages 6 to 12 to learn about the museum while participating in fun, hands-on activities and programs. Parents and guardians – this is a great opportunity for your children to experience a day of scientific adventure and discovery while you finish up any last-minute holiday shopping! Campers will meet the museum’s scientists and learn about real museum collections. There will be demonstrations of the casting and molding program, with children having the opportunity to create, paint and take home their very own fossil cast! In addition to these unique activities, campers will enjoy pizza and a movie in the museum’s Education Center. Children learn math concepts through games, songs, learning centers, whole group activities and everyday math related experiences and problem solving. Children develop number recognition, counting skills and learn to use numbers and language to compare quantities and solve problems. Sorting, patterning, measurement, graphing, shapes and number formation are included in the number sense curriculum. CIT (Counselor in Training) - Positive Energy Outdoors
Spend time this summer as a CIT with Positive Energy Outdoors and become an outdoor leader. As a mentor and role model for younger campers, youll assist PEO staff with games, team building challenges and camp activities including kayaking, SUP, rock climbing, hiking, draft horses and more. Youll also be trained to help with the maurices portable climbing wall at community events. A mandatory training/orientation session is required on Friday, June 10 from 12 - 4 pm. A commitment of at least one full week of camp is required for participation, and transportation is available from Marshall School (drop off at 8:15 am and pick up at 4:45 each day).
