Youth Rugby is the fastest growing sport in America and is also an Olympic sport once again. New to the North Shore Area, the Rugby Academy introduces girls and boys ages 4 to 14 to a variety of fun and safe non-contact games. The rules are simple and easy to learn. Participants will learn great ball and running skills, while making friends playing an internationally popular sport. North Shore Rugby Academy strives to promote a positive, encouraging and professional coaching environment. The goal of the program is to ensure that each player has a safe and enjoyable sporting experience, learning the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie. Equipment requirements are minimal, dress for the weather and be ready to have a great time playing a safe version of Rugby! We'll talk and have fun, it'll be cool, it's for anyone and everyone in high school! Here are more details, but they don't rhyme. This whole Seussing thing takes too much time! Our retreats begin Friday night and end Sunday early afternoon. At a retreat you can expect a weekend away full of building community, growing in our faith together. There are great talks, fun sessions, and time to pray, play, and relax! If you have any questions, let Betsy know! A clinic for women of all skill levels. Would you like to chip it closer to the hole every time, eliminate 3 putts and improve your pitching to the green? Bring the favorite club you like to chip with along with an 8-iron, sand-wedge and pitching-wedge. Class includes golf balls and training tools. A NEW camp for girls who just want to have fun...building with LEGO! Taught by women engineers and scientists, this course will provide a supportive environment for girls to build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes, and motorized cars. Explore the creative possibilities of the LEGO building system with the guidance of experienced Play-Well instructors. Educators provide a rich learning environment for the children in the Pre-K program including many sensory experiences, hands-on activities, language immersion opportunities, and Kindergarten readiness integration. Children construct their own learning and knowledge from the endless opportunities and the guidance provided by the educators. This special learning environment is a product of our philosophy of the image of each child as competent, capable, and curious. Educators also provide children with integrated opportunities to practice learned Jewish ethics and values each day through lessons on the Jewish holidays, books, games, rituals, and customs. Pre-K educators also meet each year with Austin Independent School District (AISD) Kindergarten educators and Austin Jewish Academy (AJA) Kindergarten educators to discuss student expectations and recent educational developments. Schedules for each Pre-K class include both large and small group times as well as times for individual choice in centers and on the playground. Children learn to follow directions and transition between activities.
