Experienced staff will provide new and exciting adventures each day! Campers will participate in activities including group games, crafts, songs, nature hikes, sports, swimming and weekly field trips. Each week will be a different theme, with activities and entertainers. Every camper will receive a camp shirt. Please make sure to note shirt size on registration form. Please dress appropriately for camp. Tennis shoes required; no sandals. During inclement weather, camp will be held indoors. Bring a sack lunch and drink every day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every camper will receive a camp shirt. Photography kids - teen day camp. age 7 and up May 7 2016.The cost is $60.00 they get a cute bag and tee shirt, and lunch that day. They need a camera any kind it dont matter just as long as it takes photos. they get a small photo session that day also. We will be hiking and taking photos enjoying the day. The minni session you will receave up to 5 differnt poses with a cd to print them from and copyright. ( take a week to get the cd back) The Cost is $60.00 cash based or credit card with pay pal. 2017 Teen Winter Retreat - Jackson, OH
Registration for the retreat will be held on Saturday, January 28, from 3– 4 p.m. and will dismiss at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 29. The Teen Winter Retreat will feature many fun events, activities and programs. You will need to bring your completed health form and activity release form that is signed by your parent/guardian in order to participate. Please bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes as we will probably be taking part in some outdoor activities during the retreat. You will also need to bring your own, bedding, towels and bathroom supplies. Registrations should be submitted by Friday, January 20 to Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp. Drum! Percussion Camp for Absolute Beginners - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Experience the fun of laying down a basic rock groove or the joy and energy of a large ensemble of mallet instruments. In this fantastic new camp, students will get a chance to try a variety of percussion instrument while building basic playing skills that will help prepare them to play in their school band or orchestra. Any student can join this camp, even if you have no previous experience playing an instrument. After 5 fun-filled days packed with lots of playing time on a variety of instruments, students will have a chance to show off their new skills for family and friends at a recital at the end of camp. Soft Ground Etching (3 classes) - Kala Printmaking Studio
An in-depth course exploring all aspects of soft ground etching and its combination with aquatint, chine colle, and drawing. Students will learn about line and tone etching, shape and texture transfer, and aquatint manipulation. They will create layered prints by the addition of a second plate to the one holding the key design. All levels welcome. Sundays, January 24, 31 & Feb 7 from 11am-5pm $20 Materials Fee payable to the teacher on the first day of class Instructor Bio: Theodora Varnay Jones received her BFA and MFA from The Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest, Hungary. Her prints have received numerous awards from museums, universities and other institutions throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and South America. There once was a king who had 12 dancing princess daughters. Each night he would lock their door so they could not escape, but every morning, the twelve would have the soles of their slippers worn out from dancing. hmmmmmm.... Campers will recreate this fun adaptation of the Brothers Grimm tale with a performance in our Rehearsal Hall theatre with costumes and props on the last day of camp. 3367480857 x202
