Kids have FUN during school vacation at the the Connecticut Science Center! Campers in grades 1-6 will experience hands-on science enrichment through fun and engaging activities. Camps include structured activities with our STEM Educators, as well as supervised free time to explore the Science Centers galleries and exhibits. We offer Day Camps during school vacation as well as week-long programs in the summer. Each camps theme helps develop science concepts, guiding campers to greater understanding of science material and its application to the real world. Songwriting Workshop - Penncrest High School
This workshop would be for all 6th-12th graders interested in learning more about songwriting. No previous musical experience is required. Students would write their own original music, and gain skills on the keyboard that allow them to become better musicians and even self-accompany! This workshop is perfect for poets who wish they knew more about how to put their words to music, or experienced musicians who are stuck when it comes to writing lyrics. Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more.
