Teen Photo Camp: High Schoolers - Alpharetta, GA
Is your teen always snapping away? Stealing your camera? Obsessed with capturing their surroundings? Foster their creative skills at our TEEN PHOTO CAMP this summer in our Crabapple studio! Students will need a digital camera and a *genuine* desire to learn more about photography. We will offer separate sessions for middle & high schoolers in June and July. We’ll have instruction, shooting practice and fun learning activities each day in an artistic, small group environment. Each student will need to bring their digital camera, a snack, water bottle & lunch each day. All other materials will be provided, including class notes & supplies. The camp will cover the following topics : - Photographer’s Tool Kit - Essentials of Exposure (Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO) - Camera Settings - Composition - Photography & Social Media - Lighting, Landscapes & People - Careers in Photography At the end of camp, we will have an open house showcasing our student's best work in the studio. Camp fee is $225 and is required to hold your student's place.

Baseball Camp - Grades 1-6 - Allmendinger Park
Grades 1-6 Whether your camper has played for a few seasons or is just starting out, this camp is the one to choose! Each day campers work on basic to advanced baseball skills and play a game, too! Participants learn in a safe, structured environment, have fun and gain confidence playing baseball. Daily hitting, fielding, pitching and outfield stations are featured as well as daily trivia contests and prizes for everyone! Campers receive a written evaluation on their skills. Campers should bring mitts, bats, snack, sunscreen and water bottles marked with their name. Coaches: GVP Sports staff. High School Harp Solo and Ensemble Camp - University of Texas at Austin
The High School Harp Solo and Ensemble Workshop is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. The program is an exciting week of solo and ensemble experiences exploring classical traditions and improvisational styles. In addition, participants have the opportunity to attend special master classes on a variety of topics including selected orchestral audition excerpts, chamber music, harp maintenance, and career discussions. Robotics: Design & Performance / Game Design - Hazen High School
Explore the world of robotics using the new LEGO® Mindstorms EV3® line. Learn how to build and program robots by designing simpler versions of real world robots. Youll create a bot patterned after Starwood Hotels robot butler, which can be programmed to deliver objects to guests. Youll make an animatronic creature which senses people and says hello to them. Youll also make a line-following bot and one which moves along like an inchworm. Plus, well spend a morning working in teams to build and program robots to complete missions similar to those in First LEGO® League (FLL) competitions! Create your own scrolling adventure game using Stencyl®, one of the newest and best ways to create games for a computer or mobile device. You will select or design characters, give them properties and behaviors for movement and interactivity, use built-in physics, customize the backgrounds and levels, add sound and scoring, and so much more. When youre done, youll have your own unique game, ready to play at home (on Windows) or upload to Stencyls online game library for others to play.
