How Does it Work? Each Friday of the course (see dates below) a new module is sent to students with a self-paced lesson and weekly challenge. Then, on the following Monday, in a "live chat" from 6 - 7 pm, the teacher will answer questions, provide feedback on that weeks challenge, and guide students through the joys of Java programming. Each module will contain multiple labs comprised of problems and a longer app at the end. Each individual lab will introduce a new concept / programming construct. Thats a few hours of available content per week! This hands-on, lab-based approach to learning programming reflects how programmers really learn--by doing, and at their own pace. What Technology Do I Need? Just a computer! Grand Camp for Kids
My kids enjoyed this camp so much! It was fabulous and the staff was amazing. They were able to do the normal camp activities, but they were also able to do archery, paintball, mountaineering, hiking, campfire programs and they even took a 4 day trek into the Grand Canyon. Teen Sewing Boot Camp - Edmonds, WA
Is your teen bored already? Sign him/her up for our week long beginning sewing boot camp running Monday through Friday, July 19 through 22 from 10 am to 2 pm daily. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. Opti Green Fleet (Full Season PM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti LTS Step 3, Step 2 per instructor recomendation Students will be challenged to perfect their sailing techniques, learn to use hiking straps and tiller extensions, and expand their knowledge of wind, weather and upwind sailing. Students will be introduced to basic racing techniques and will be encouraged to participate in local Green Fleet regattas, which are designed for new racers. All students will be under the supervision of our instructors and coaches in class and at specific local regattas. Be on the look out for your ECSA regatta booklet which has all the regatta information in it that will be handed out during the first week of programs. Typically your child will participate in 6-8 regattas over the 8 week summer. Regatta fees are not included and typically range from $25-$35 per event. 860-535-9362

Science Crafters - Old Trail School
Have you ever wondered how to make Flubber or how to make invisible ink? If so, this is the camp for you. The week will include fun and wacky crafts that make us smile. This includes making quick sand, a volcano, glow water and more. Many of the crafts will be things that can be taken home and played with.
