Join us for a week of building, twisting, folding, slipping and scoring as you explore different sculptural techniques! In this 3-dimensional art workshop you will be exposed to a variety of materials such as wood, wire, paper mache, and clay. Youll experiment with and learn ways to successfully work with these materials as you create your own unique sculptural creations. TRIPLE A (1 WEEK) This may be the best week youve ever had and is certainly the most popular high school camp EVER! This week fills fast (usually by mid-January) so REGISTER EARLY! This week is designed for high school aged campers: we start later and go longer. The morning has lots of options for early risers and the nights always end around campfires or stars. Sometimes you need to step out of the hectic high school schedule and be reminded. Reminded, that you are surrounded by friends, and a world full of wonder that is greatly loved - by a great God! TRIPLE A & REMIX (2 WEEKS) New!! Experience Triple A and then much, much more. This is a full two-week camp. After Triple A is over, you and your friends will stay on Saturday to begin your second week of adventures. With an emphasis on the creative process, campers will design and construct their own products from found objects, recycled materials, clay, wire, metal and other building materials; sketch a window display for an imaginary company, and use various art media to complete products. Campers will learn about form, structure, the elements of design and three-dimensional concepts. Stretch your imagination and join us in this creative workshop environment! This is Big Folks! We are so excited to present something we have been planning for a long time. Introducing Van-A-Gogh-Go, Austins Traveling Art Camp! Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. This camp is based off the popular I Survived… series! Step into the disasters and adventures in these books and decide what you would do! Students will learn how to survive in different climates and regions around the world and natural disasters. Travel on an exciting survival-themed overnight, more details TBA!
