Summer 4-6 Year Old Camp #2 - Island City, OR
This camp will be 3 days long and 2 hours per day. We will be working on Walk, Trot, Posting, Leading, Haltering, Steering, Grooming, Parts of the Saddle, Bridle and Horse, and fun trivia about care of ponies/horses. Every kid learns at their own pace. I am here to teach them about horses and riding, while being safe and aware. If they are soaring, I let them soar and will continue teaching them new things. If they need to slow down and work on some smaller things, then they get to. This young age group is here to learn and have fun doing it. Tri-It Triathlon Clinic - Butler Campus
TRI-It! This camp is designed for beginner triathletes that have competitive swimming or running experience. Find out why triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in America and learn about NCAA scholarships for female athletes! USA Triathlon certified coaches (including Dr. Karen Edwards, Director of Afterschool and Summer at Laurel) will teach basic skills for completing your first triathlon. Learn open water skill techniques, bike handling skills (including braking, riding in a group, and safety skills) and running to maximize speed and minimize impact. Transition skills and strength and conditioning for endurance sports will also be covered. Tuition includes coaching, transportation to swim venue, and lunch. Basic swim proficiency is required. Frog Guts: Adventures in Biology - Penn State Erie, The Behrend College
Adventures in Biology is a five day journey with discovery hands-on labs including frog anatomy and dissection, owl pellet exploration and earthworm anatomy and dissection. Participants will explore fascinating concepts in biology such as homeostasis (how organisms react with their environment to maintain life); photosynthesis (turning sunlight into energy); cellular respiration; and the properties of water, water quality and its importance to supporting and sustaining life. 814-898-6871

Campers will have fun playing indoor and outdoor games including: sack races, limbo, water balloons, parachute play and more.
