Sports Camp week 5- Basketball (ages 5-12) - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of basketball camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport including dribbling, passing (chest passes, bounce passes, and overhead passes), shooting (jump shots and full shots), and man to man defense. Agility and hand eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of basketball camp will focus on the basic rules such as traveling, double dribble, charging and blocking, as well as the duties of each position. Additionally modified games of basketball and cooperative games such as knock out, PIG, around the world and 21 will be played during the last hour. As the skills of each child advances, the third hour will consist of more realistic game like situations and a mini tournament based upon age group. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! Urban Trail Bike Camp - Kids on Bikes Community Center
This fun and safety focused urban trail riding camp offers kids the opportunity to explore local trails that connect our city. Base camp will start at the Kids on Bikes community bike center, which allows connection by trail onto Shooks Run, Greenway Trail, and Midland Trail. Each day, participants will ride to a new location by utilizing bike trails and some neighborhood streets. The goal is to ride to a new destination each day such as to the library, Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, Velodrome, Popcycle Bridge, Pulpit Rock and more. The focus of this camp is on cycling safety, trail etiquette, bicycle commuting as transportation and basic bike maintenance skills like changing flats and solving gear problems. Please bring a sack lunch, a backpack, water bottle and a jacket. To prepare for camp, please make sure your child is comfortable on dirt with two wheels before registering for this program and would be comfortable riding 8-10 miles (sounds like a lot but we take a lot of breaks!). 7193553573.0

Faith Camp Week 3 - Faith Lutheran Church
Week #3 - We welcome you to Week #3 of 3 weeks of fun, adventure, and learning. Our hope is that the Faith Camp experience will follow your child home and bless your family. Faith Camp is for children who have completed Kindergarten - 5th grade by June, 2016. Please Note: * Children who will have completed the 5th Grade by the time Faith Camp begins are known as Disciple Campers. These campers have a different experience than everyone else. Our DCs are exposed to Servant Leadership as they engage as helpers to our paid staff and participate in an off-site service opportunity and off-site field trip. There is an extra nominal fee for the field trip (movies, bowling, skating, etc.) * Because staff is hired and t-shirts and supplies are ordered according to our registration numbers, we are unable to give refunds within 30 days of your scheduled week of camp. Speed, Strength & Conditioning - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
For rising 5th-8th grade students This camp will focus on athletic enhancement and speed development. Young athletes will learn proper training techniques and fitness program design to help them achieve their athletic potential-whatever their sport may be. Overall health of the athlete is the emphasized. Each athlete will leave with a personalized plan to stay on track the rest of the summer. This camp is co-ed. Jr. Kindergarten - Platt Park Childrens Center
This class is designed to serve children desiring an extra year of preschool and/or those who are able to thrive in an accelerated preschool curriculum. It is recommended that children be 4 1/2 years old by October 1 to participate. Enrollment is by the discretion of PPCC staff. Class meets M-TH 8:45-12:30 PM (includes Lunch).
