Young Paleontologist (HALF DAY ONLY) - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
This is our HALF DAY option for Young Paleontologist. Camp Young Paleontologist will get your child excited about dinosaurs, fossils, and more! Activities and experiments explore the prehistoric era. During each activity branches of science and noteworthy scientists are introduced. (If your child has any food allergies, please make sure to include that on your online registration form). These exciting experiments are sure to delight and spark the science minds of our youngest little campers, ages 4 and 5. MIDDLE SCHOOL ART CAMP: Grade 8/Session 1 Students entering grades 6-8 will be immersed in a variety of studio art experiences in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media and metalsmithing. The camp faculty of professional artists and art educators develop fun & innovative lessons that are appropriate for all students. Parents are asked to provide lunch, snack and a beverage for their children. A reception and art exhibition is held on the last Friday of camp. Shakespeare Intensive - The Arts Center
Four of Shakespeares plays will be studied over the course of 8 weeks; Midsummer Nights Dream, Julius Caesar, Richard the Third, Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest. Each week scenes will be analyzed rehearsed and the next week performed. Outside rehearsal will be a necessity for this class. The more time you put in the greater the reward! Pre-Algebra - St. Thomas High School
Classes are at 8 a.m.-10 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Students required to take two courses will have classes at both times. Students register for the course/s required. Class times will be assigned based on availability. Only for St. Thomas incoming freshmen who are required to take a summer course(s) in Language Arts, Reading and/or Pre-Algebra as a condition of acceptance. If one or more of these courses are checked on the Pink Course Selection Sheet, the student must successfully complete the course(s) in order to continue as a St.Thomas student for the fall semester.
