NEED YOUR CAMPER(s) TO STAY AFTER 2PM? CHECK OUT OUR AFTERNOON OPTION! AFTERNOON EXPLORATIONS @ BCC! $105 Rising PK-5 ONLY June 14-July 29 2:00pm-6:00pm RUNS EACH WEEK OF CAMP. CAMPS CLOSED July 4-8 In addition to the fun and exciting time your campers(s) will have during the morning camps at Greensboro Day School, they can also take part in the Afternoon Explorations Program! This program is offered for children in pre-kindergarten through 5th grade and operates from 2:00pm-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Afternoon Explorations Camp is much more than a place to send your child in the afternoon; this camp involves structured weeks that incorporate hands-on activities and weekly outside activities related to that weeks theme. The Afternoon Explorations Camp will be offered the weeks Summer Programs is in session. Please sign your camper(s) up as soon as possible because camp enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember to pack an extra snack and drink for afternoons and BCC only week! Thanks for your cooperation! Parker Harris is our Summer Afternoon Explorations Director. Our Children's Trust, Rogue Climate, the Geos Institute, and Trail Treckers are coming together to host a one day training for youth and their parents on how to become effective advocates for a stable climate. Steel Pan Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Whether youve just started learning an instrument or have been playing for years, playing steel pan is fun for everyone! We invite all instrumentalists to come learn to play pan - from percussionists to tuba players, violinists to bassoonists! If youre looking for a new, fun way to play music, youll love learning about this Caribbean instrument from Trinidad and Tobago. Youll have a chance to try out all of the instruments - from the high lead pan all the way down to the deep, low tones of the bass pans. Youll work with your instructor to learn basics of playing steel pan and play in several ensembles with everyone at the camp. 3D Art Exploration - Villa Academy
Come join Molly Bocian to the messy world of 3D art! The students will be exploring paper mache and clay techniques over the course of the week. Ceramics techniques will be taught each day, and large paper mache sculptures will be crafted throughout the week, painted and ready to take home on the last day of camp. This will be a messy week, and while everything will be washable, aprons or old shirts would be welcome. So get your kids excited for the joy of sculpture this summer! 206-524-7009
