Tennis Camp NP - Rising Stars Session 8 - Alpharetta Adult Activity Center
In this class, basic strokes are reviewed, with an emphasis on footwork, combining shots and keeping the ball in play within a 60 foot court. Scoring and match play will also be introduced to the students. 23 or 25 inch racquet recommended. 8 hours of instruction. 9:30am-11:30am, Monday through Thursday. Extreme Adventure Camp - Butler Campus
Extreme Adventure Camp is a two week coed camp for incoming 7th and 8th graders. The first week consists of adventurous activities and field trips based out of our Butler Campus. Field trips include indoor rock climbing, mountain biking, and kayaking / paddle boarding. There will also be numerous activities and adventure games at Butler Campus, including our Project Adventure high ropes challenge course. (Campers must bring their own bike and be proficient in cycling and swimming.) Week 1 will prepare students for our Extreme Adventure Trip (June 20 - 24) in Fayetteville, West Virginia, where campers will camp in tents, go rafting, rock climbing, and go on the tree top canopy tour and zip lines! *Please note participants must be twelve years old at the time of camp; demonstrate the ability to follow directions; and complete a skills assessment before going on the West Virginia trip. 216-455-0154

This camp is designed to work with girls who are entering or already competing at the Varsity level. Emphasis on strengthening skills and fundamentals of basketball is key. 110% effort will be requested of all campers as they challenge one another with friendly competitions and games. Individual skill drills include: shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing, defense and offensive moves. Team/Group skill drills include: team offense/defense, moving without the ball, rebounding/blocking out. Campers will be challenged each day to compete at their highest level while incorporating friendly competition. Next, we will create radial moons and suns using printmaking techniques while being inspired by artists utilizing radial symmetry and explore shading and value with planets and stars with chalk!
