The Digital Arts Experiences Minecraft Build-Off Tournament IS BACK! Participants will have 1 hour to build in creative mode by choosing from a list of 3 categories. Previous tournament choices were "Fortress", "Dragon", "Roller Coaster", "Modern House", and "Space Ship". Similarly, we will give new categories to choose from! We encourage you to bring your own computer as we set up a nice space in our main area to compete with other kids, adding to the social aspect of the game. Prizes will be given to winners based on judging. All participants will go home with a small prize regardless of win or lose! Coffee and donuts will be provided by The DAE staff. FATHER SON CAMP - Winthrop University
This years Father/Son campers will be treated to instruction from the Winthrop coaches, staff, along with current and former Winthrop players through detailed skill work and competitions in the best facilities in college basketball. Father and son teams compete with fellow campers of appropriate age groups (based on sons age/grade level) in competitions that incorporate skills learned throughout the camp. The skill work is designed to give both father and son drills and techniques to take home and continue working together. CLAY ART CAMP: SEA WORLD - Ben Robertson Community Center
Join us for a fun week of imagination and creative travels to sea world! Campers will create a star fish bowl and unique wall art using multiple pottery techniques including coil, pinch and slab methods. Explore a new media and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Campers will get to experience using a pottery wheel on the last day of camp. Materials: A separate fee of $25 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp for art materials, clay, glazes and kiln supplies. Campers should bring a snack and water each day.
