In this hands-on investigation, kids will learn how a computer works by building a simple Raspberry Pi computer. Once the building is done, the fun continues while kids create their own versions of simple games and code in Minecraft on the computer they just built. We will have plenty of time off the computer as well when kids have the chance to learn and test game design and programming through active play. Kids keep their Raspberry Pi mini computer, WiPi, keyboard and all cables, as well as all their projects that they have compiled during the week! (858)964-0645

Youth Sports Performance Training Camp - Atlanta, GA
Kids ages 6-18 are invited to take their sports performance to the next level at this camp designed to maximize their athletic potential. Our coaches will utilize innovative training methods that are proven to develop the skills and abilities of young athletes striving for peak performance in their chosen sports. Professional athletes, including retired NFL Running Back Dorsey Levens, will be in attendance, and we're giving away some great prizes too. Ranger Kid Day Camp - Christmas, FL
Greetings Leaders, at our last Sectional Leaders meeting we decided to make up the Hurricane Matthew postponed RK Day Camp. We originally decided on January 21, 2017 but that date proved problematic so a consensus with a majority of Outpost Coordinators we have moved the date to February 18, 2017. The date was confirmed with Jungle Adventures today and the price of $12 per boy and adult will hold. The Boy price includes admission, event patch and craft, the adult price is for admission only. If an adult wants the patch it is $2.00 more. Everybody attending needs to have a sack lunch and drink which will be stored in coolers until the lunch break. The times are from 9:30am (registration), with entry to the park at 10am, we plan to conclude by 2pm. Questions should be directed to your Outpost Coordinator or if necessary you can contact Steve Bridges.

2016 CLT Teen Musical Camp presents Zombie Night! - Auburn, ME
2016 Teen Musical Camp presents Zombie Night! Directed by Vincent Ratzavong Music Direction Derrick Lacasse Choreographer Jake Boyce Producer Jen Rombalski This doo-wopping musical pays great tribute to classic horror flicks like “Night of the Living Dead,” “The Return of the Living Dead” and “Cemetery High.” Howie, Louise, Gary and Phoebe are in charge of “Zombie Night,” the annual senior class party. They locate an abandoned farmhouse by an old graveyard, once occupied by the creepy, crawly Dr. Thanatos, who tried to re-animate the dead (gulp!). Vivian and Anne show up, determined to destroy the party. (They’re sore losers who wanted a sock hop instead.) Enter a grim farmer who warns the kids that it’s dangerous to stay. We soon discover why — zombies! While the decorations go up, the zombies shuffle from the graveyard. Cosmic cannibals! It’s zombies versus students! The spoof races to a spine-chilling and hilarious finale. With a great opportunity for eerie makeup with the zombies, this bebopping fright-fest plays well at Halloween or any time of year!

Game Maker Overload - Brookwood Christian School
This camp takes our intro and advanced courses and combines them...then goes beyond that for a full week of programming "overload". Starting from the very beginning, we will explore several different types of game creation: basic, maze, platform and more. Learn the basics such as creating sprites, objects, events and actions, health, gravity, designing your levels and more. Then go deeper into the platform game programming.... in this camp we will introduce even more unique gaming aspects to make your game even better. This camp will provide hours of creative time for you to build exciting, professional looking games you can play with your friends. Campers will have lots of fun while learning to care for their environment. Outdoor activities and environmental learning are the focus of this camp. New this year!
