Should a Child Bring Money?
All necessities are covered by the camp program. Youth should not need additional money for things like food and over-the-counter medication options. However, some programs do have canteens or bodegas were tough can purchase anything from snacks and toiletries to postcards and magazines.
Parents should always read a camp’s Welcome Guide and call to see if youth should bring any money to camp. For example, the kids might be allowed off camp one day a week to go into town. This is a great chance to see the community and buy ice cream or see a movie. No child wants...

This hands on camp gives campers an in-depth look at dogs, cats and small animals. Have some doggone fun in the morning with the Delightful Dog session or come for a purrfect time in the afternoon with Fun Felines and Crazy Critter session. Weaving creative movement, dance, sensory exploration and play through tales of magic foxes, clever maidens, and dragons. This camp is a full body experience of storytelling and expression! Beginning from "once upon a time" Rachel Ann will lead children through interactive traditional stories that will take them long ago, far away and bring them back happily ever after. Come learn and grow with us at Campapalooza I, where the participants will fill their days with team sports, art classes, swimming lessons, open swim, movie day, weekly field trips and much more! There will be plenty of fun had by all. Participants provide their own sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, and movie concession money. Snacks, swim instruction, open swim, all classes, movie admission and field trips are included. No camp on July 4th. A newly added benefit is all Campapalooza I campers will receive a complimentary 2016 Park Forest Aqua Center membership. Payment Plan Terms : A $100 deposit per camper and a $10 payment plan processing fee must be paid in full at registration. Remaining camp balance must be paid in full by Monday, June 6, 2016 to attend camp. Teen Wheel-Throwing - Ashtonn Means - The Art Center
Whether youve never touched clay before, thrown just one time, or have experience throwing, this is the class for all teens 14-18! Throughout this course students will learn the skills behind wheel-throwing, glaze application, and a basic understanding of Cone 10 materials and firing, as well as design principles for functional pottery, fundamentals of form, and aesthetic design techniques. Every class will have demonstrations, hands-on projects, and one-on-one guidance on the wheel-throwing process. Students are strongly encouraged to be self-directed and to bring project ideas and learning goals to work on throughout the eight-week course. Demonstrations will be geared toward students learning goals. See you there! Ashtonn Means is a Grand Junction native and has been doing ceramics since age thirteen. She continues to study at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts and is a member of the Grand Junction Clay Arts Guild. A senior at Colorado Mesa University, Ashtonn will graduate in May 2016 with a BFA in Studio Art and a minor in Psychology. Performance art is a catalyst in her pottery for the decorative design elements—slip trailing, stamping, glaze color, form—applied to the pieces.
