Clover Kids will do some fun projects from the “A Space for Me” 4-H Project! July 5, 2016 9:30 - 11:30 OR 1:30-3:30 pm Learn how to make your space your very own! When it’s your OWN special space, you are more likely to pick things up and put them away. Clover Kids will make some fun projects for their room to help them organize their own special “stuff” and learn about how to use color creatively! You will need to bring an empty and clean plastic coffee can for one of our activities. Everything else will be provided! Cost is $15 per Clover Kid!

Spa Day is an annual event at YoungLives Camp for Teen Moms and Babies. For many of these girls, this will be the first time they are cared for in this manner, and we need a lot of help to make it happen! Volunteers are needed from 10:30-2:30 & lunch will be provided. No experience necessary. Once you get there, we will assign you to a station, so note your special skills or area you'd like to help: Facial Massage Body scrub kit creating Nails What a great opportuity to get out of the heat, and enjoy the beautiful property of Lost Canyon while serving young moms. 2016 Speed of Play : Leadership through Fitness CRIC - Coon Rapids Ice Center
(2016 SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day. Campers will complete an interactive notebook filled with kid friendly snacks, learning activities by age group, engaging games, and more. We also cover topics child care professionals need to know such as how to build a resume, interviewing with potential families, how to find child care jobs, caring for children with special needs, and being a professional.
