CAMP DETAILS Superheroes/Villains Week Up, up and away! Looking for a creative way for your child to explore their favorite superheroes and supervillains? Access your secret powers in this super-stellar camp! Your child will have a blast developing their hidden talents and extra-ordinary super skills ranging from enhanced senses, ability to fly or become invisible to whatever else our imaginations can create. We will also generate advanced equipment and costumes to accompany our characters with various arts and crafts materials. About Sign your child up for a fun filled week of cheerleading with the NYS Express Cheer Team and coaches. We will be teaching a variety of skills and drills including motions, jumps, stunting, sideline cheers and tumbling. In addition to skills we will play exciting cheer games, decorate/create bows to take home and compete for the lucky cheer stick! Participants will also go home with a camp tee shirt. Surprise Valley Youth Camp Family Retreat - Beckley, WV
The retreat is for the entire family or, if everyone in the family can't come, those who can are welcome. There will be classes for all ages. We will have activities, speakers, singing, snack bar, campfires and plenty of food. All Star Sports covers every aspect of the world?s most popular game. Kids build confidence and self-esteem as they are challenged with many short-term goals over a week. The trained staff will be able to enhance play, whether they are beginners or have played on travel teams. Sumo Bots If you think one robot is interesting, wait until you see two of them battling for control Sumo-style. Students will build a Sumobot robot using VEX IQ platform and learn to program using sensors to build the strongest robot. Autonomous Sumobots try to locate and knock their opponent out of the ring while detecting the outside circle. Students will engage in robust design strategies while programming with sensors to create an autonomous robot. Robot wrestling match demonstrations will be held on the last day of the workshop.
