Peace Ed's Teen Leaders for Diversity/PeaceCasters: Making Media that Matters Winter Camp may be for them! Tuesday, December 27 - Friday, December 30, 9 am - 4 pm Registration Now Open! Our PeaceCasters/Teen Leaders for Diversity camps are divided between exploring and deepening the basic skills around affirmation, communication and cooperation that are core to Peace Ed's work and the fundamental skills of digital video-making. During this four-day camp for 12 - 17 year olds we will create short videos about youth and peacemakers in our community who are helping to create a better world. The PeaceCasters camp is designed to build skills while also providing a fun experience. Activities will include plenty of cooperative games and visits from some special guests such as youth activists and local experts from the world of videography and filmmaking. Session I Baseball - Cornerstone University
CU Baseball School Grades 6-8 (Day Camp ) Check-in will be Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Please look for postings to help make this time easier and more convenient for all. Parents, we will register your child as quickly as possible so that you are able to get to work on time. The day camp will begin at 8:30am the rest of the week. Each day we will have fundamental and individual skill work in the mornings. Typical afternoons will focus on team defensive work and situational baseball and generally will end around 3:30PM at which time you may leave for home. This course will consist of a wide variety of games. Campers will enjoy competing against both themselves and one another. They will play everything from kickball to lawn bowling, ultimate Frisbee to a milk-carton derby and we will even try our hand at an American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course. Instructor Matt Butler is a Prep teacher with years of experience coaching both boys basketball and girls volleyball. He brings his passion for game play and outdoor activities to the fun-filled camp. Each day, participants will get involved in 2-3 different games.
