Come for 1 or 2 weeks! All students will receive their own DAE 8GB flash drive to store their work on and take home! Code your own arcade game and design your own controller that works with it! The first half of this class will involve students coding their own old school arcade style game from scratch. Think something like Spade Invaders, Galaga, Pong and more! Then, well have the students work with Arduino boards and use physical programming to wire their own controller to work with the game. Finally, students will design their very own case for their controller that we will print out using our 3D Printers! Come both physical and digital programming for this interactive class where students will be able to show off their games and controllers to friends and family! **Please note**: We have Arduino UNOs & breadboards for the students to use as their controllers for the duration of the class but they will need to be returned at the end. Fly Fishing - The Evergreen School
Fly fishing is a sport that teaches patience, improves motor skills, and fosters an appreciation for nature. No one can walk away from losing a five minute battle with a stubborn trout without a deep respect for the fish! Students will learn the basics of fly fishing – setting up their rod and reel, knot typing, basic overhead casting, selecting the right fly, etc. Discussion will also include the history of fly fishing, how its different from other kinds of fishing, and entomology. Skyhawks Flag Football - Redwood City Fields
Skyhawks Flag Football is the perfect introduction to America?s Game, or a great refresher to those who want to brush up on their skills preparing for league play. Through our skill of the day exercises, campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning - all presented in a fun and positive environment. The week ends with the Skyhawks Super Bowl, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills on the gridiron! All participants receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and a player evaluation.
