Performance Evaluation - Northampton - STRIDES Human Performance Institue
A great way for youth athletes to see how they perform at skills related to the sports they play! Power, agility, speed, and strength are assessed to give kids a better understanding of how they can unlock their potential. Results are provided in a fashion that kids understand and motivate them to improve. STRIDES coaches are able to evaluate potential risk of injury and provide them with corrective exercise to reduce inure potential. These performance evaluations are conducted the 2nd Monday of each month at our Northampton and Amherst locations. There is no cost for these evaluations, but capacity is limited. (413) 586-5000
Minecraft Adventures - Universalist Unitarian Church - Arlington
Welcome to the world of Mining and Crafting. At this exciting camp your child will craft and create on a lap top computer. Throughout the week, your child will be given exciting building challenges in BOTH the creative and survival mode of MINECRAFT ® BEWARE OF CREEPERS!! Renaissance has hired some mining experts to help your child learn secrets and short cuts that can be taken home for use on their own MINECRAFT® games. A secure server will be provided for their use during this camp. We will focus on several advanced crafting skills such as red-stone wiring, advanced survival tactics and advanced gardening. Campers will participate in a horserace and become paleoentoligists digging for bones to construct a dinosaur. There are new challenges everyday and the excitement builds with each new challenge. Shine your tiaras, stretch your tiptoes and dust off your tutus. Spend the week learning dances and stories about your favorite Princesses! Crafts will be made each day and our week will end with a Princess Tea Party (with all the dancers dressed as their favorite princess or prince, of course!) and an informal showing of our Princess Dance for friends and family! Princes are welcome too! Materials: A separate fee of $10 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp for arts & craft materials.
