NIKE Basketball Summer Camp - Fairfax High School
Instructor: Awyee Storey Ages: 8-15yrs Mon ? Friday, Jul 11-15, 9:00am -3:00pm (M-TH); 9:00am-12:00pm (F) Location: Fairfax High School Field House (Gym) Led by former Washington Wizards forward Awvee Storey and his experienced staff, the camp will feature professional instruction for boys and girls, with the instruction designed for the specific skill level of the participants. Coach Storey was a standout collegiate basketball player at Arizona State University, before continuing his playing career professionally in the NBA with the Wizards, New Jersey Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks. Storey also competed professionally internationally in New Zealand and the Philippines. The instruction will focus on the game?s fundamentals, while instilling the importance of commitment, teamwork, character, and sportsmanship helping each camper reach his/her full potential. Faith Camp Week 1 - Faith Lutheran Church
Week #1 - Faith Camp present "Be a Hero" We welcome you to Week #1 of 3 weeks of fun, adventure, and learning. Our hope is that the Faith Camp experience will follow your child home and bless your family. Faith Camp is for children who have completed Kindergarten - 5th grade by June, 2016. If you need Before Camp or After Camp Care, please choose that option below. Before Camp opens at 7:30 AM. After Camp closes at 5:30 PM. Please Note: * Children who will have completed the 5th Grade by the time Faith Camp begins are known as Disciple Campers. These campers have a different experience than everyone else. Our DCs are exposed to Servant Leadership as they engage as helpers to our paid staff and participate in an off-site service opportunity and off-site field trip. There is an extra nominal fee for the field trip (movies, bowling, skating, etc.) * Because staff is hired and t-shirts and supplies are ordered according to our registration numbers, we are unable to give refunds within 30 days of your scheduled week of camp. Forest Overnight Camp - Camp Waubanong
Join us for a week of thriving and surviving at Forest Camp. Become the eyes and ears of the forest as you learn confidence through the skills of the scout. Discover how to blend into the landscape through the arts of camouflage, navigation without compass or map, and stealthy movement. Together with your fellow adventurers you will build fire from friction, craft and use natural tools, identify and harvest edible plants, cook over open fires, sleep in a rain-proof shelter you build yourself, and more! In addition, Forest Campers can swim, play capture the flag, pick wild raspberries, play music, tend the camp garden, or build wilderness shelters during free time. Forest camp inspires youths natural discovery, cooperation, responsibility, and independence. Campers spend their week in traditional Adirondack Shelters with up to eight other campers. Our girls and boys cabins are located on separate ends of campus. MinecraftEDU is an expansive game that lets players design and create unique worlds with amazing structures. One of the more complicated aspects of MinecraftEDU is Redstone, which is MinecraftEDUs version of electrical circuitry. This class will introduce students to the many uses of Redstone through a Medieval themed adventure of creation, exploration, and castle besieging, with students making mine cart tracks to help them gather resources, working together to build their kingdom, and designing traps to defend their castle, all with the use of Redstone. 6159487005.0
