OPAL's multi-racial youth program, Youth Environmental Justice Alliance, is organizing a community event to raise awareness about a campaign to sustain and expand the YouthPass program in Portland. Our goal for the campaign is to show the city, TriMet, our schools, and our community that affordable public transportation is important for youth to lead healthy lives, be able to thrive, and be successful. The youth-led event will officially launch our campaign and engage with community members and decision makers, especially in East Portland neighborhoods. There will be educational booths about transit justice, powerful youth testimonies, and cool performances! YouthPass to the Future Campaign: We want all high school students in Portland to be able to go to school and access opportunities that prepare them for success. Transit is an educational right! Let's permanently fund YouthPass and expand it to Parkrose and David Douglas High Schools! Free food. Guest speakers. Youth Stories. Performances.

Five fun-filled days of fitness, team building activities, sports & Bible study! * Monday–Friday, 8am-11am * $50 per camper, includes camp shirt * 3 rd - 6 th graders may attend (fall 2016) 32 kids max. * Our camp encourages team work and relational growth within the team. This is dependant on perfect attendance. We ask that you make every effort to have your camper attend every day. The rest of their team needs their help! * Held in the gym at Arizona Community Church [] in Tempe, northeast corner of Rural & Knox (just north of Ray Road), next to Corona del Sol High School. * Our camp fills up early every year. Students will learn how to program a robot to navigate through maze challenges, detect obstacles and even get the opportunity to duel other robot teams in a mini sump competition. By the end of the camp students will show off their learned robotics skills, experience STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) first hand and take their robot home to continue their exploration of its many capabilities.
