Dancing With Degas - Spiva Center for the Arts
In this interdisciplinary class, students will look at and analyze the work of Edgar Degas. Students will experiment with similar postures, movements and phrases in relation to Degas work. This is a great opportunity for students to re-interpret the artwork through movement. No dance experience required. Students should wear comfortable clothing and socks. Spring Peepers: March 24th Listen for me on a spring night, on a wet night, on a rainy night. Listen for me on a still night, For in the night, I sing. (by Joyce Sidman). Campers hop in to our pond and join us as we celebrate our awesome amphibians. Slimey salamanders, fantastic frogs, toadally cool toads will come out to play. We will take a hike to our local pond and muck about searching for spring peepers. Hop to it, you dont want to miss our frog races. Campers will make frogalicious snacks and funky frog crafts. This week is a peek at archaeology. What do the animals leave behind? Where do those bones come from? Fossils are created all of the time. We can learn from them in so many ways.. what fun stuff are we going to be digging up this week! 206-957-1533
The Write Stuff - Ages 5-6 - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Freed Is your child struggling to learn how to print? Are they reluctant to complete written work? Whether your child is struggling or not, learning to print is a very complex skill. This class will provide all of the foundational skills necessary to be able to learn to print effectively and efficiently all while having FUN! Kristin Freed, Licensed Occupational Therapist will assess your students use of a writing tool and then provide a multitude of activities to improve their grasp, general stability, tactile discrimination, visual-motor coordination, and visual-perceptual skills for more successful writing tool use. 6 weeks, June 14,21,28 & July 12,19,26 316-771-2289
