This camp will explore the inner harbor of Redwood City, while learning the basics of water safety, kayaking, outrigger paddling, and stand up paddling (SUP). Each day participants and their instructors will paddle to a different destination around the Harbor learning about the conservation and ecology of Redwood City, while having fun paddling. On Friday, campers will enjoy Kayak and Standup Paddle Board Relay Races. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Price includes Camp T-shirt, goodies and a certificate with group photo. Football Camp 6th - 8th - SCDS
The goal of the Hornet Football Camp is to give campers the finest football instruction and a stepping stone to becoming a confident football player, while having a week of fun! This is notaconditioning or recreational camp. This camp is designed to teach the football techniques used at the high school level and to help prepare the players for their upcoming SPAL season. The Savannah Country Day high school football coaches will be the camp instructors along with former Hornet players and some current college football players. Campers will be taught the fundamental skills for their specific position on both sides of the ball as well as compete in group drills to help prepare them for another championship season of SPAL football. Instructor: Hawley Session 5: Explore the Great Outdoors III. Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced. We try to teach our campers as much as possible during our intense (and fun) on-ice sessions, but also during our important off-ice sessions (nutrition, dryland off-ice exercises etc.) We do not run a celebrity camp, but a camp based on our knowledge and expertise - the TT Training System that resulted in success beyond our dreams. Make an item to let other geocachers know weve discovered a particular treasure, participate in the first ever NESS geocache kayak trail and go geocaching in different locations around Stonington and beyond!
