Teen Robotics Camp - Day 3 - Dublin, GA
For rising 7th-12th graders. This is a 4-day robotics workshop where we will be learning how to build and program LEGO Mindstorms. SEATS ARE LIMITED. PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE AT THE REFERENCE DESK. Teens who register are expected to attend all four days of the workshop.

Advocacy Training for Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign - Philadelp
The Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign and The Bridgeway School would like to formally announce that legislation is officially being sponsored in both the House of Representative (Rep. John Taylor –[R] Philadelphia) and the Senate (Sen. Pat Browne -[R] Pennsylvania) to promote recovery high schools in Pennsylvania. When enacted, this bill will create an alternate class of school designated Recovery High School. These schools will be suited to address the educational and recovery support needs of high school age/eligible youth dealing with substance use disorders in Pennsylvania. These schools will ensure that students receive the tools necessary to retain long term recovery, achieve academic greatness, and promote family inclusion, support, and overall wellness through education and recovery. We need your help to raise awareness for, and champion this cause on behalf of all Pennsylvania Youth. Please also join us for an Advocacy Training event on February 25th and 7pm at The Bridgeway School. Through this training we will equip all supporters and stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to advocate in support of this vital legislation. Kids Pursuit is ready to bring MEGA Sports Camp to the community of Minot. Children entering K-5th Grade will get to spend each evening making friends, learning sports skills, and having FUN! KidFit is smart fitness for kids ages 8-13! Kids learn skills that instill proper functional movement patterns applicable to ANY sport or activity. We teach kids how to maintain proper body balance, strength, and mobility, all in a FUN environment! Each day includes a skill practice, team building exercises, body rolling, experiential anatomy, and injury preventions techniques. This class is an introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorm NXT software and Technic building pieces. Remember when you were growing up and played for hours outside with your friends? Things may have changed since then we are excited to offer a unique camp that adds these type of experiences to your childs summer in a safe and welcoming way. Each day pack a snack in your backpack, wear clothes that can get dirty and lets hit the trail in search of adventures! Activities can vary each day depending on the weather, childrens ages or the groups interests. Examples of some favorite activities from last summer include fishing for crabs from Ringbolt Rock, making found object sail boats or pitching the tent for a day time camp out on Planters Hill.
