Environmental Engineering - The Globe Academy
Students will experience an immersion into the multidisciplinary process of engineering by studying the areas of electrical, structural, mechanical and construction by participating in this class. Students will learn how renewable energy sources (wind, biomass, geothermal, water and solar) are leveraged in the engineering field to make our world more eco-friendly. Join us to watch your youth transform into mini-engineers as they explore ways to solve the worlds greatest energy problems. Mixup 7/5 - 7/8 - Rockridge BART - (base of the escalators)
This is our Mixup week. This week we will be moving around the Bay Area taking daily field trips while using public transportation to navigate our way. The week will be comprised of the schedule below*. July 3 camp not included unless added with purchase session option. 4 Classes, No Class 3/10 (Spring Break) Homeschool PE for 6-13 year olds PE 101 is a 90 minute class that allows students to explore many sports in a short time. This program is designed so that students can be ACTIVE and learn about athletics and team sports. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch. We rotate through agility stations and drills. Each unit of study includes sport specific drills and games. Including rules of the game, strategy and the fundamentals required to play. F-2 Simple Chemistry Labs and Activities to Teach Difficult and Important Concepts - Aurora
This will be a hands-on session where participants will perform four chemistry activities/experiments (two of the experiments will be a variation on one theme). The topics will include bonding, equilibrium, and stoichiometry. Teachers will be provided with copies of the activities to take back to their classes. In the spirit of learning together, we ask participants to bring their favorite activity/lab to share with the group (these labs will not be performed, just shared.
