The Monterey Junior Lifeguard Program is a 4-week educational and recreational summer program for children between the ages of 9 and 16. The kids are exposed to a carefully planned schedule of lectures and field trips, balanced with physical conditioning and ocean recreation activities. This unique aquatic class is taught by professional Ocean Lifeguards and several guest lecturers. There are 2 four-week sessions each summer at Monterey State Beach. First off, forgetting to pack a toothbrush or comb is very common. Summer camps are always fully equipped to handle such issues. These programs and their talented staff will not allow children to go hungry or without important items like toiletries. There are usually extra items on site for youth to wear. Many programs have everything from extra sleeping bags, blankets, and sheets to extra shampoo. Parents may be called if the child needs something specific or important like medications. Roanoke Homeschool PE Session 5 incl. Field Day - Roanoke Rec Center
May Session 5 includes Field Day 2016!! Field Day May 20th PE is a 90 minute class that allows students to explore many sports in a short time. This program is designed so that students can be ACTIVE and learn about athletics and team sports. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch. We rotate through agility stations and drills. Each unit of study includes sport specific drills and games. Including rules of the game, strategy and the fundamentals required to play. Film Makers Challenge Workshop - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
For students with previous film making experience. Take your film making to the next level with a series of fun challenges that will stretch your imagination. On site props and indoor/outdoor settings offer students a chance to show their stuff and work together in pairs, in teams, and as individuals to come up with creative solutions to the days challenge. PCAC Film Crew Instructor Jenn Teed and production assistants will start off each day with a technique demo and then guide film makers as they come up with unique digital films. Students should bring their own film recording device with memory card or cord to transfer film to instructors ipad. Contact if you will need equipment to use during workshop. Game on Sports - Old Trail School
Come to Game On Sports in the Harrington McLaughlin Athletic Center and have some physical education fun. Campers will participate in multiple sports and small-sided games. We have numerous options for your child to have a positive sports experience. Campers will participate in the following activities during the summer: soccer, softball, baseball, track and field, handball, volleyball, tennis, basketball, bowling, lacrosse, flag football, floor hockey, Frisbee games, parachute, hula-hoops and orienteering.
