Discover how rocks are formed and practice rock sorting like a geologist. Take a closer look at snails and other animals with shells. Work as scientists to investigate spores and learn the mysteries behind mold by putting together an experiment to watch mold grow in a safe enclosed environment. As we move through our investigations extend your land-based quest and look to the sky and experiment with wind and learn the science of how clouds form. I sent my teenager to the Taft Summer School in Watertown, CT this past summer and I am so glad I did! She was able to get intensive learning in a school environment, but it wasn't school. Kid’s Camp at Polaris is designed for students ages 6-12 and offers a full or half day experience, Monday through Friday.
