No. Will we write similes about the smell of a campfire, or lengthy descriptions of that one camp counselor who wears knee socks and a fanny pack? Perhaps. Join Kirsten Casey for five days of writing delight: creating poetry, characters, flash fiction pieces, and more. We will write everyday from 1-4 using a variety of prompts, strengthening our attention to detail, sharing our work, and eating candy. KidSport Afternoon: Tennis & Golf, 7/11 - 7/15 - Scarlett Middle School
[] KidSport Afternoon: Tennis & Golf Each week features a different sport teaching basic fundamentals skills, rules, team building and sportsmanship and open swimming time. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Campers bring snacks and water. Afternoons, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Drop-off. Staff will pick-up your camper from your car at 1:00 PM and bring your camper to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! For the creative rider who derives their inspiration from the bicycle, this is the camp to let their imagination go wild. From small trinkets to a funky custom bike, the possibilities are endless. Campers comb over unserviceable bikes, salvage parts that inspire them, and breathe new life into them by fashioning their own bike-based crafts. Time tends to be split evenly between rides and crafts. Its non-stop fun and learning as they test out their spaceship and rover piloting skills, go hands-on for some out-of-this-world classroom space science experiments and put on their space detective hats to try and figure out how to catch this crafty extraterrestrial. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please complete and submit the Child Enrollment Record prior to the first day of camp.
