WHO WE ARE. Bowmen Sports is a group of coaches who LOVE to coach! Sport Camps and Clinics are all we do! We operate all over the DFW metroplex. Parks and Rec, schools, churches, homeschool groups, birthday partys and private events.OUR HISTORY. Bowmen Sports began operation in the Fall of 2003. Our programs are often imitated, but try our camps and see the difference!WHAT WE OFFER. Your player will love our fun-based and active programs like Dodgeball or Speed Sports. We can improve their game at one of our skill-based program like Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Soccer or Golf. Speed Sports is based on results and improving athleticism in a fun environment. Our Kindergarten Rookies is perfect introduction to team sports. Our Homeschool PE classes are perfect to learn a new skill/sport/activity while learning more about athletics. Level 1 & 2 Mountain Bike - Ute Valley Park @ Pinon Valley
This camp is for kids with Level 1 and Level 2 mountain biking skills. Kids will break into two groups after the first day of camp based on age/ability. LEVEL 1 After a kid has become confident riding a bicycle on two wheels, with the ability to steer and brake the bike appropriately, we move into more skill development of bicycle handling, overall confidence, and building up young mountain biking ambassadors. We teach appropriate trail and group riding etiquette and build on the childs ability to brake, steer, and handle the bicycle on gravel both uphill and downhill. LEVEL 2 This level becomes the difference between a ‘beginner and an ‘intermediate mountain biker. Though age is not the determining factor, kids are usually at least 7 years old and have been riding a bicycle confidently for a couple years. With level 2 comes more substantial mountain biking with drills specific to handling a bicycle on singletrack. Capacity for riding grows to longer consecutive riding stretches, maintaining energy and enthusiasm for riding, and the ability to show multiple riding skills naturally.
