Grades: K - 12th Morning drop off at Lacey Park; afternoon pick up at the Hanford Teen Center. This weeks theme "Super Hero Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. SCENE STUDY (1.5 Hours) FRI - Loudoun Arts Center
Using scenes from some of the leading voices in contemporary theatre, students will learn how to approach performing in 2-3 person scenes. Studies will include dramaturgical research, scoring the script, scene coaching, and in-class performances with feedback. Kids Create! Children develop their imaginations and skills through drawing, painting, collage, movement, music, improvisational theater, creative dramatics, and playwriting. Classes are taught by professional musicians and artists from Rutgers Universitys Mason Gross School of the Arts. Each weeks offerings are unique, so children may participate in one or both weeks. Camp weeks end with showcases, giving students the opportunity to perform for their families. No prior experience needed.
