Looking for an all-girls outdoor adventure this summer? The Positive Energy Girls Outdoor Adventure Sampler creates a unique opportunity for girls to have fun developing skills in a variety of outdoor pursuits. Our focus is on supporting girls to develop positive images of themselves, their abilities, and their connection to the outdoor world. Camp activities will include rock climbing, watersports (kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming), working with our draft horse team, hiking, cooking in a solar oven and meeting Positive Energys kennel of sled dogs. On the MOVE is a bootcamp for kids ages 5-12 which helps build strength, increase skills such as jumping higher and running faster, improve coordination and motor skills, and establish a strong foundation of self-esteem and confidence. Visit www.maskansascity.org to register! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: WHEN IS THE CAMP? The camp will, Insha'Allah, be from Friday, August 12th - Sunday, August 14th. WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS. It is about 2 - 2.5 hours away from Kansas City. Transportation will be provided, Insha'Allah. (Please see details below.) WHO MAY ATTEND THE CAMP? Young youth boys and girls ages 10-18 only. WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP? The cost is $120 per child by July 20th midnight. After July 20th, the cost will go up to $140/per child. Welcome to Hogwarts Americana-the American extension of Hogwarts. Campers will be immersed in the fictional world of Harry Potter. They will start off by being sorted into one of four houses-Paladorn, Grizelstorm, Embredor or Firesong. During this magical week, students will experience Potion Making, Charms, Muggle Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Quidditch and plenty of games that will give them chances to earn points for their houses.
