Film Premiere Stages for Youth Summer Film Camp - Cincinnati, OH
***PLEASE NOTE VENUE CHANGE*** Join Stages For Youth in celebrating the accomplishments of 30 young filmmakers who attended the 2016 Stages For Youth summer film bootcamp. Participants, ages 12 to 19, from SCPA, Springer, Clark, Walnut, Bethany House, Seven Hills, Mercy, Purcell, Waldorf, Aiken, Withrow, as well as home educated, YWCA Rosie’s Girls and The Squash Academy came to Stages For Youth and were challenged...to make a short film…in only 2 weeks! Along the way they learned the film craft, they created, collaborated, debated, negotiated, and problem solved…and all came away with mission accomplished, a testament to their creativity, resolve, teamwork, and spirit. Movies will start around 8:30 PM in beautiful Union Hall. Total run time is about one hour and will be followed by awards. We have a hundred chairs and then some, so please bring your friends. This is a free, public, family event and all are welcome!

Come mold, sculpt, pinch, twist, coil, pound and paint with us for an entire week as we create with clay! Working with clay is a multi-sensory, whole body experience and a wonderful medium to unleash childrens boundless creativity. During the week, campers will create unique three-dimensional pieces that are sure to become treasures! Directors: Eman Elmahi and Catherine Linford 9194932642.0

This camp is a young designers dream come true! With an emphasis on the creative process, campers will design and construct their own products from found objects, recycled materials, clay, wire, metal and other building materials; sketch a window display for an imaginary company, and use various art media to complete products. Campers will learn about form, structure, the elements of design and three-dimensional concepts. Stretch your imagination and join us in this creative workshop environment! Supplies to bring to camp: • Stacks of cardboard • An item that you think is interesting and you would like to use it to create a piece of original art • Rolls of wire in different gauges (14-26 guage) 805-570-1988

Dance, tumble & cheer your way into the school year! This is an introduction to basics class developed to strengthen skills for aspiring cheerleaders, dancers, and gymnasts. Each class will cover tumbling skills, build proper jump shapes, and strengthen core & leg muscles. Students will be introduced to turning and leaping, and mini trampoline fundamentals. Cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, and handsprings are all basics to which dancers, cheerleaders, and gymnasts aspire. Dance basics will be introduced as girls learn to turn and leap with proper technique. Participation awards will be given to everyone on our show off day May 18th, the last 30 minutes of class.
