Soccer Shots provides young children with a positive introduction to soccer. Through quality, high-energy programming and principled instruction from highly trained coaches, Soccer Shots is a fun, age-appropriate way to play soccer. An extension of our after-school program, Soccer Shots focuses on individual skill, fitness, and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner. Along the way, Soccer Shots coaches also teach positive life skills that will leave a lasting impact on every participant. Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am. What is "Work A Thon"? It's a great opportunity for young people and youth groups to get together, have fun, help the camp, and earn free weeks to use or share with friends. "What do I need to do?" Wild Edible Plants Series Session 1 - Jaycees Pavilion
Learn to identify, harvest and prepare wild edible foods. We will go out into the blufflands of southeastern Minnesota and forage for some of the first wild foods after the snow lifts. We will also cover safety and ethical concerns that accompany foraging wild foods. Instructor: Twila Brock Beginning and advanced beginner students will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills in the various approaches to throwing functional ware on the wheel under the guidance of Twila Brock who specializes in this area. Instruction will be focused on basic techniques. Forms will be thrown, altered, and assembled to create various vessels. Projects will be tailored to the students skill level. Glazing techniques will also be addressed. Students must provide a clean towel each week.
