Camp Space Engineer is a LEGO building and robotics camp designed for campers ages 6-8. Activities and experiments explore space with an emphasis on collaborating with the International Space Station astronauts. During each activity campers will be using LEGO components to build a variety of space vehicles and simple machines and robots. They will also work to build and launch two ESTES rockets. Each day has four Science Labs, which allow campers to build and participate in the LEGO activities. The day starts with a science demonstration with the rest of the camp, which highlights a science principle. This class introduces students to the basic concepts of creating movies! Students will learn composition techniques to create interesting shots, how to tell a good story with clever editing and how to plan out their own project.
